You may not board the ship without a printed or electronic ticket. Showing your reservation number or the ticket number is not enough to be permitted on the ferry.
It is not mandatory to verify the ferry’s departure time, however in cases of difficult weather conditions or strikes, it would be good to be informed. It is advised when you make your reservation, to enter a mobile phone number. This way, ship companies will be able to send you a message concerning your itinerary. TRAVEL FERRY makes all efforts to send you important information as soon as it receives an official notice from port authorities or ship companies.
We suggest that you are at the port at least one (1) hour for trips in Greece, as the boarding procedure begins 2 hours before departure. In accordance with the law 3709/2008, the passenger must be on the ship at least half an hour before the estimated departure time and to bring the vehicle in the loading area 1 hour before departure. If you travel abroad, it would be best to be two (2) hours before at the port.
Passengers are obliged to carry their travel documents. The ship company has the right not to allow boarding for passengers that do not carry the said documents.
The drivers of vehicles must load and unload their vehicles and leave them before boarding the ship.
The loading priority order of vehicles is defined by the Port Regulations of each Port Authority, within the area of which the loading takes place.
If a passenger wishes to disembark from the ship before it leaves, then he/she must notify the ferry’s accounting office, take the luggage and the vehicle, and if possible, to move from the ferry’s parking space.
With the web check-in that some companies offer, you may receive your ticket online, usually 48 hours before your trip.
There is a special icon for web check-in next to the companies, for each itinerary you encounter during the booking procedure.
When you finish your booking, you will find the link for the web check-in process in the page and the confirmation email.
By pressing it you are transferred to the ship company’s page which asks specific codes to complete the process. You have already received the in the confirmation email with the title “web check in”.
Please note that the web check-in is about the ship company individually and not for the whole reservation, which may include more than one companies. Lastly, you may board the ship with the boarding pass that you receive online from the company.
The rules for trips and pregnant women depend on each company. It is generally accepted that you may travel if you are up to 28 weeks pregnant at the departure date and not the booking date.
If you are more than 28 weeks pregnant during the trip date, you must have a medical certificate which certifies that you are able to travel.

Smoking is allowed only on the specified areas of the exterior decks. Based on the law 3730 of the Ministry of Health since July 1<sup>st</sup>, 2009 smoking is prohibited in all indoors public areas and cabins.
The ship company collaborating with the administrative port authority is obliged to ensure the unhindered transport of people with special needs or reduced mobility and to offer help not only during embarking or debarking but during the trip itself.
